Simple Loading simplifies handling without the need for machinery

Award-winning packaging for transporting paediatric incubators.

Designed for perfect packing and unpacking

The ‘Simple Loading’ packaging solution for the transport of paediatric incubators is designed to enable the manufacturer to pack the equipment easily and securely, whilst also ensuring that the customer can unpack the product in a user-friendly and straightforward manner.

This new concept replaces the original, unsuitable, entirely wooden and complicated packaging. “Simple Loading” makes maximum use of eco-friendly corrugated cardboard with partial protection of sensitive parts of the product provided by technical foam. Loading the heavy incubator is simple even without handling equipment. The specially designed pallet quickly transforms into a ramp, which the product is driven onto during packing or down during unpacking.

A lightweight, folded corrugated cardboard support ensures the product is secured easily and safely. All packaging components are clearly marked with a PN print, which simplifies packing, eliminates errors and makes unpacking the product easier for the customer.

An added bonus is the saving in costs and time.

How the packaging works

Loading the heavy incubator is straightforward, even without handling equipment. The entire process is designed to minimise errors and simplify assembly.

Integrated access ramp

The specially designed pallet quickly transforms into a loading ramp. Simply push the incubator into the marked position, and the product’s own weight will level the pallet.

A fixation with a levitation effect

The two lower corrugated cardboard brackets are universal and can be used on either side; they slot directly beneath the frame. Once the castors have rolled into the cut-outs in the pallet, the incubator ‘hover’ in the air and the chassis frame settles securely into the support bracket. The frame is then secured by the straps integrated into the pallet.

Corrosion-resistant enclosure

The bevelled shape of the top of the outer packaging follows the shape of the packaged product, but also prevents unauthorised stacking of another pallet unit by an unprofessional carrier.

Versatility thanks to plastic connectors

Plastic fasteners securely attach the pallet to the casing and lid. These fasteners allow additional components to be added prior to final dispatch (before the barrier film is heat-sealed), or enable the packaging to be opened without damaging it when transporting the incubator to the service centre.
